Coming back to Korea
My father’s odyssey
My story begins in 1969 when my father, a Taekwondo phenom and Vietnam war combat instructor born into hardship during the Korean War, was sent to Paris at the age of 23. Since then, my father lived in France, and got to travel all over Europe and Africa to represent his country.
Through a career of my own, professional opportunities got me to move from France to Canada, America, and Japan. Through these experiences, I’ve learnt how to navigate cultural differences in business and developed a better understanding of my father’s life as a foreigner.
In the spring of 2024, I decided to move to Korea and in the summer of 2024, my father and I moved together to Seoul to complete my father’s odyssey.
